Request and Return of materials
When requesting materials in physical format, if you no longer need the material, it is your responsibility to notify the ILL office that you no longer need the item. It is the responsibility of the borrower to return interlibrary loan materials in a timely matter. All fines and fees assessed by the lending library are the responsibility of the patron who borrowed the item. Failure to return ILL materials promptly may result in a loss of all library privileges. Note: the lending library reserves the right to recall their materials before the due date. In this case, the materials must be returned immediately.
Overdues, fines, lost/damaged materials
Late books can damage our relationship with the lending library and jeopardize our ability to borrow items in the future. When a ILL item is overdue, damaged or lost, the patron will be charged according to the lending library's policy. All fines, fees, and replacement charges are not refundable. Ultimately failure to pay these charges will lead to an administrative hold (Banner block) on your ILLiad account.
Address and Name changes
If you have a change of address, status or name, it is your responsibility to update your ILLiad user profile.
Renewing Materials Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library. ILL staff processes renewal requests every business day, and will contact you if the renewal request is denied.
One renewal may be possible prior to the due date. Renewals can be done directly by you through your ILLiad account prior to the due date of the item.
