Multidisciplinary Research Guide: Background Info

Print Reference Sources

Feinberg Library has print encyclopedias, dictionaries, and more in the Reference Room on the 2nd floor.

Why Use Background Information?

Background Information gives you an introduction to a topic, issue, or person. Looking up your topic in an encyclopedia will help you gather search terms and find related concepts helpful for your research.

You can also check the bibliographies in encyclopedia articles for other useful sources.
