Popular Culture Research Guide

Popular Culture is a very broad subject.  It encompasses subjects such as music, film &  television, history, fashion, art, literature, politics, sports, etc. and these subjects often overlap.  You may need to search databases in several different subject areas to find sources on your specific topic. Click here to see a complete list of databases organized by subject area. Click here to see a list of research guides Feinberg librarians have created to help you research your topic.

Example:

  • Topic: Representations of African-Americans on television shows
  • Subject areas to search: History, Communication Studies, Africana Studies, Popular Culture, Newspapers
  • Helpful databases: JSTOR, ScienceDirect, Black Newspapers, Project Muse, Lexis Nexis
