    The Literature Review Process

    In essence, a literature review summarizes and synthesizes the arguments and ideas of others. To do this, you must:

  • Choose a narrow topic.

  • Recognize themes within your reading to focus your examination

  • Construct a thesis statement. Ex: Today's beverage options diminish the importance of proper hydration to the human body.

  • Choose an organization method.

  • Register for Interlibrary Loan- You will need it!
