Understanding call numbers in an academic library

Feinberg Library uses the Library of Congress (LC) classification system to organize books on its shelves.  The LC classification system uses letters and numbers, or call numbers, to group books by subject together in one place, making it easy for you to find the books on the topic you want.
On the 3rd floor you can find books with call numbers starting with A-F and Q-Z
On the 2nd floor you can find books with call numbers starting with G-P
